Corey Brewer and Rudy Fernandez were dealt to the Denver Nuggets for a future second-round selection. This move was more about the Mavericks clearing up cap space by dealing away Brewer. Both players will add depth to a Nuggets team that has lost J.R. Smith, Kenyon Martin and Wilson Chandler. The move should open up more playing time for both players who were likely pretty far down on the Maverick's depth chart.

Josh McRoberts signed a two-year deal with the Los Angeles Lakers. This deal will give the Lakers some added depth off the bench after they traded away Lamar Odom. McRoberts should see decent minutes considering the lack of depth the club has with regards to size and that Derrick Caracter out indefinitely with torn ligament damage in his knee.

James Harden expects to come off the bench for the Oklahoma City Thunder. Harden had gotten some sleeper hype after stepping his game up during the playoffs and averaging 31.6 minutes per game in the postseason. It looks as though Harden will assume his role of being a spark plug off the bench for the offense. Keep in mind he's only 22 and has some solid upside as evidenced by improving his FG and FT percentages by over three percent each in his second season as a pro.

Nicolas Batum has been running with the first team in practice for the Blazers. The only reason Batum is with the starting five is that LaMarcus Aldridge is out with a heart condition known as Wolf-Parkinson-White syndrome. The absence of Aldridge could drive down his draft position if you have your draft over the next week and considering the serious nature of any heart condition, that be warranted. Obviously Batum would benefit if Aldridge should miss any time and the Blazers would likely play a more up-tempo style of ball, increasing Raymond Felton's value as well.

Evan Turner will compete with Jodie Meeks for the starting shooting guard spot in Philadelphia. This would have never been a believable scenario before the start of last season but Turner disappointed in his rookie debut. Given his pedigree and upside, Turner should win this battle with Meeks assuming a role of the bench as a three-point specialist. However, until Turner starts to realize his potential both players will likely see a similar amount of minutes no matter who wins the starting role.

Rookie Derrick Williams signed his rookie contract with the Minnesota Timberwolves. The rookie has been practicing with the team without a signed agreement so he hasn't missed any practice time. Despite a glut of forwards in Minnesota, Williams should see his fair share of minutes whether or not he ends up starting.

Marcus Landry and Ronnie Price both signed contracts with the Phoenix Suns. Given their places on the depth chart it's highly unlikely either will have fantasy value, even in deeper leagues.
