The Eagles signed Steve Smith away from the Giants – Smith was thought to return to New York, but in part because of the team's concern over his recovery from knee surgery, he moves to division rivals. The Eagles will likely put him on the PUP list to begin the year and won't expect him to contribute until after the team's Week 7 bye, and he's a long shot to have much fantasy value.

Marques Colston sits out practice yet again – After undergoing microfracture surgery during the offseason – his fifth knee procedure of his career – this injury situation continues to be one to closely monitor.

Johnny Knox is listed as the second-string receiver behind Roy Williams on the Bears' first unofficial depth chart – Depth charts this time of year are typically meaningless, but Williams currently looks like the favorite to start, as OC Mike Martz seems to be down on Knox. "Johnny's very talented," Martz said. "He's very young, and he's still learning how to play. Guys like Johnny have just got to learn to be consistent."

Steve Slaton had a good practice Wednesday as he's taking advantage of injuries to Arian Foster (hamstring) and Ben Tate (hamstring) – Slaton was rumored to be on the trade block earlier, but if Tate can't shake being injured, he has a chance of emerging as Houston's top backup, suddenly making him an intriguing late round flier.

Titans offensive coordinator Chris Palmer admits Matt Hasselbeck is "struggling" with the team's offense at this point – Hasselbeck hasn't gotten more than 6.8 YPA since 2007 and is now changing systems entirely. He'll have the benefit of Kenny Britt at his disposal, but Hasselbeck has never been known for his deep ball. The QB situation is far from settled in Tennessee.

According to coach Mike Shanahan, Chris Cooley's sore left knee is a "concern" – Don't forget just how productive Fred Davis has been in the past when Cooley is sidelined.
