Andre Johnson (finger) returned to practice. Word is he made some spectacular grabs during practice indicating the finger should not be an issue going forward. Draft him as you normally would.
Jason Snelling signed a one-year deal with the Falcons. Snelling tested the free agent market and in the end decided to re-up with the Falcons. His value is directly tied to Michael Turner's health as it would take an injury to "The Burner" for Snelling to see a significant amount of playing time.
Jahvid Best is #1 on the depth chart but rookie Mikel LeShoure isn't too far behind. It looks as if the dreaded timeshare is on the horizon for the Lion's backfield. LeShoure is the likely favorite to emerge as the goal line back considering he has two inches and around 30 lbs. on Best. Best is still going first in drafts but LeShoure could emerge as one of the top sleepers if he ends up with the lion's share of carries.
Plaxico Burress (ankle) was back on the practice field Sunday morning. He completed a walk-through and was expected to go through individual drills in the afternoon. Look for the Jets to ease him back into the fold as the week goes on.
There will be a position battle between Roy Williams and Johnny Knox for the starting split end position. While things could change between now and Week 1, it appears Devin Hester has locked up a starting spot. Look for Williams and Knox to both have ample targets this year in Mike Martz's offense but this is probably a motivational ploy for Knox who has sat out with "minor back stiffness."
There are reports that Torrey Smith will be the starting wide receiver opposite Anquan Boldin for the Ravens. This shouldn't come as a complete surprise given that Baltimore used a second-round pick on Smith, who could bring some much-needed speed to the Ravens offense. He'll provide a nice downfield target for Joe Flacco, something that's was missing for the Ravens last year.
The Giants signed TE Daniel Coats after Ben Patrick retired. It hasn't been a good week for the GMen who lost Kevin Boss to the Raiders, had TE Ben Patrick retire a week after signing and have lost Prince Amukamara for up to two months with a broken bone in his foot. On a positive note, Steven Smith (knee) is scheduled to meet with the Giants this week in hopes of re-signing him.
Donovan McNabb believes Percy Harvin will be a perennial Pro Bowler who can catch 90-100 passes for over 1,000 yards. We've backed Harvin as a great value pick/sleeper this season with Sidney Rice in Seattle and McNabb throwing the ball his way. Harvin hasn't had a migraine since January and is line to have a breakout season.
