Kevin Garnett's injury is being described as a calf strain, and he's expected to miss the next two weeks, which has Celtics Nation breathing a collective sigh of relief. But fantasy players take note -- the C's have taken a decidedly Belichickian approach to disclosing the type and severity of injuries in the past; don't be surprised if that two weeks turns into more.
Either way, Glen Davis (61|PERCENT| owned) is a must-add in nearly any format. Players in deeper leagues might want to consider Jermaine O'Neal (18|PERCENT|) as well.
In Portland, the news about Brandon Roy's status seems excessively grim. There's a pretty good chance Roy will be shut down for the remainder of this season. Roy has been struggling with knee problems for much of this season, which is one reason why there's already been a run on Wes Matthews (78|PERCENT| owned). You might also want to take a look at Rudy Fernandez (15|PERCENT|), who will get more run if Roy is out of the mix.
It appears that Tyreke Evans is going to play with plantar fasciitis for as long as he can. But Evans owners would be well-advised to "handcuff" Francisco Garcia (26|PERCENT| owned) to Evans, because that injury won't go away without an extended period of rest.
Brad Miller (26|PERCENT| owned) and Jordan Hill (3|PERCENT|) should get some additional minutes while Chuck Hayes out for the next two-to-four weeks.
