Week 16 Observations

How is it possible the Dolphins are 6-1 on the road and 1-7 at home? It's not just the schedule - their road wins include @GB, @NYJ and @OAK, and their home losses include DET, CLE and BUF. I've already forgotten the Giants-Packers game, so I have nothing to say about that. I do vaguely recall Troy Aikman saying Mike McCarthy should be in the running for Coach of the Year, but that can't be possible. While many think the Lord is on Tim Tebow's side, the truth is He's against the Texans. I wish when Chris Berman and Mike Ditka broke into Miles Austin's house to wake him up with smelling salts, Austin leapt out of bed and beat them senseless before realizing who they were. (That's what would actually happen). The Browns had a nice midseason run when they went 4-2 with wins over the Patriots and the Saints, but since then they've lost three in a row, including games to the Bills and Bengals. How did Carson Palmer have his best game of the year against a good pass defense, throwing mainly to his fourth and fifth receivers? The Jets defense shows the same relevant parts add up differently in different years. Significant regression from last season's outlier performance should have been expected, no matter who they retained/brought in. Jay Cutler has had a fantastic year - 7.9 YPA and 23 TDs despite missing a couple games and playing behind the worst offensive line in the NFL for eight weeks. His 14 picks are a lot, but given his lack of protection, understandable. Is it really necessary to have Thursday, Saturday and Tuesday games when the matchups are PIT-CAR, DAL-ARZ and MIN-PHI? And how can an NFL game be postponed due to snow? If you sat Adrian Peterson or are going against Michael Vick, you should file a grievance with the NFL.
