12:00 PM ET ESPN: Illinois 5-3 @ Michigan 5-3 (-3) - Are the Wolverines going to get up off the mat or continue their second half swoon? The team started out 5-0, but has lost three in a row, the last loss coming at home to Penn State by 10 points. People (me included) were ready to give sophomore QB Denard Robinson the Heisman trophy after only a few weeks. Lately he's had to battle injuries to stay on the field. Their defense is atrocious, ranking 4th worst against the pass. They only need 1 more win to get bowl eligible, but if they lose this week to Illinois, baring a major upset, they'll only have one more chance at a win, at home against Purdue. For the Illini, the offense is pretty run oriented, but against the Wolverines, expect them to try to air it out. They need to cut down on turnovers as they lead the Big Ten in giveaways with 15. The run defense should be up to the challenge that Robinson and crew present. They've allowed only 4 rushing TDs all season long. The Wolverines have 6 of the last 8 in this series.

12:00 PM ET ESPNU: Maryland 6-2 @ Miami 5-3 (-8) - That sound that the Terrapins hear is opportunity knocking at their door. NC State's win over Florida State last week put Maryland into a tie atop the ACC Atlantic division. On top of that, Miami is coming into this game with a slew of injuries. Frosh Stephen Morris, the team's 4th string QB, will start the game for the 'Canes because Jacory Harris is out with a concussion, backup Alonzo Highsmith has a hurt wrist, and offensive coordinator Mark Whipple's son, Spencer Whipple, has proven ineffective. Senior RB Damien Berry is banged up and won't play in this game either. It's an understatement to say that Morris will have his hands full in this game, his first ever start in a college game. Offensively, expect the Terrapins to use the same blueprint that Virginia used in their 19-24 win over the Canes last weekend... run the ball till Miami proves they can stop you. The Terrapins have lost 10 of their last 12 road games, while the 'Canes have won 10 of their last 13 home games.

12:30 PM ET FSN: #21 Baylor 7-2 @ #17 Oklahoma State 7-1 (-7.5) - Two of the best offenses playing for the right to control their own destiny in the Big 12 South. Baylor's Robert Griffin has been nothing short of amazing this season. He's third in the nation in total offensive ypg this season (332.6). He'll be going up another great QB in Oklahoma State's Brandon Weeden. Weeden is the second leading passer in the nation with 318.4 passing ypg. He'll have top flight sophomore WR Justin Blackmon back this week, after his run in with the law. Neither defense has proven they can stop the pass, so expect to see a high scoring affair. The difference may be who can run the ball better, OK State with Kendall Hunter or Baylor with Griffin and Jay Finley. Statistically the Cowboys are better defensively at stopping the run than the Bears, but that's mostly because teams simply choose to pass on them rather than run it. In the Nebraska game, most probably expected Taylor Martinez to stick to what he knows and keep it on the ground, but instead he had his best game passing of the season with 323 yards and 5 TDs. Expect to see a similar game-plan from Baylor. The Cowboys have won 13 of the last 14 games against the Bears.
Bears Offense: 490.4 yards/game (8th), 7.1 yards/play (8th), & 42.0|PERCENT| 3rd Down (46th)

3:30 PM ET CBSC: #3 TCU 9-0 (-5) @ #5 Utah 8-0 - The BCS is only big enough for one Mountain West team. TCU and Utah are fighting to be that one team this weekend. The home field advantage that the Utes possess can not be overstated as they've won 21 straight at home. Sophomore QB Jordan Wynn has the 11th highest QB passer rating (162.41) and the 7th highest completion percentage (69.1|PERCENT|) this season. However he should find it difficult to pass against TCU's #1 ranked passing defense that allows only 119.0 ypg. Baylor's Robert Griffin had mild success against this unit and he only managed 164 yards and 1 TD. Running the ball against them is also tough as they're the #9 ranked run defense allowing only 98.3 ypg and only 3 TDs. Offensively for the Horned Frogs they're led by senior QB Andy Dalton, who is 17th in the nation in QB passer rating (158.67). The Utes pass defense isn't as stingy as that of the Horned Frogs, but they are a top ten unit. It's a little bit concerning to me that last weekend against Air Force, they allowed 201 passing yards. They did manage to get 2 INTs in that game, but Dalton will likely not be as generous. The Utes have won 5 of the last 7 in this series.
Horned Frogs Offense: 484.8 yards/game (11th), 6.8 yards/play (13th), & 53.9|PERCENT| 3rd Down (6th)
QB: SR Andy Dalton - 209.7 ypg, 8.7 ypa, 65.9|PERCENT| comp., 16 TDs, & 5 INTs; 44.9 ypg, 6.22 ypc, & 5 TDs
RB: SO Ed Wesley - 104.2 ypg, 6.80 ypc, & 10 TDs
RB: SO Matthew Tucker - 53.1 ypg, 4.60 ypc, & 6 TDs

3:30 PM ET CBS: #6 Alabama 7-1 (-6.5) @ #10 LSU 7-1 - The Crimson Tide is on the road in Baton Rouge for what should be a defensive slugfest with the Tigers. Alabama has overcome their loss to South Carolina almost a month ago to find themselves right back in the hunt for the BCS title game. Their pass defense that was exposed in the Arkansas and South Carolina games should have no worries as LSU simply can not pass the ball. As a unit, the Tigers QBs have the 11th worst QB passer rating in the nation. Expect 'Bama to load the box to stop RB Steven Ridley. It wouldn't at all surprise me to see LSU run a few "gadget" plays to try to jump start their stagnant offense, just as they did against Auburn. For 'Bama offensively, I'm very interested to see the match-up of WR Julio Jones against LSU DB Patrick Peterson. This match-up may force them to pass exclusively to the other WRs or put Jones in motion to get Peterson off of him. On the ground, I expect the Tigers to have a better day defensively than they did against Auburn, but it'll be very tough to keep Mark Ingram and Trent Richardson down all game long. The Tigers have won 5 of the last 7 in this series, but those two losses have been to Saban in the last two seasons.
Crimson Tide Offense: 440.8 yards/game (23rd), 7.1 yards/play (8th), & 45.6|PERCENT| 3rd Down (29th)
QB: SR Greg McElroy - 222.6 ypg, 9.2 ypa, 70.6|PERCENT| comp., 11 TDs, & 3 INTs

3:30 PM ET ESPNU: Hawaii 7-2 @ #4 Boise State 7-0 (-21) - If you're a Boise State fan, this game should scare the crap out of you. Hawaii's QB Bryant Moniz is the nation's leading passer with 260.8 ypg. WRs Greg Salas and Kealoha Pilares are both averaging over 100 ypg. The Broncos' pass defense has done well this season, but they've yet to see a passing attack like this. Last week against Louisiana Tech they gave up 222 yards passing, the most they've given up all season. Hawaii is only completing 47.5|PERCENT| of their passes in the red zone, which is a bit concerning as points should be hard to come by and the Broncos run defense is 2nd best in the nation. Offensively for Boise State, expect Kellen Moore to continue his stellar QB play. He leads the nation in QB passer rating (188.30) and is 6th in completion percentage (69.8|PERCENT|). Junior RB Doug Martin, who is averaging nearly 100 ypg on the ground, could have a big game as the Hawaii run defense has been exposed a couple of times this season... USC, Army, and Colorado all ran for over 240 yards against them. The best case scenario for Hawaii is that this game becomes a shootout and they're able to rely on their biggest strength, their passing game. The Broncos have won 8 of the last 9 against the Warriors.
Warriors Offense: 491.7 yards/game (7th), 7.5 yards/play (2nd), & 38.3|PERCENT| 3rd Down (72nd)
QB: JR Bryant Moniz - 360.8 ypg, 9.0 ypa, 65.7|PERCENT| comp., 25 TDs, & 7 INTs

7:00 PM ET ESPN: #18 Arkansas 6-2 @ #19 South Carolina 6-2 (-4.5) - With South Carolina facing Florida next week, in what will be the de-facto SEC East title game, this could be a trap game for the Gamecocks. Their outstanding frosh RB, Marcus Lattimore bounced back from an injury to have 184 yards and 1 TD last weekend against Tennessee. He'll be very important in this game because the Razorbacks have a good pass defense, which could force the Gamecocks to run the ball much more than they want to. Junior QB Stephen Garcia needs to cut down on the picks, he's thrown at least one in 5 of his last 6 games. For the Razorbacks offensively, the loss of stud WR Greg Childs (knee) can not be overstated. Still, expect junior QB Ryan Mallet to have a huge game against the Gamecocks 105th ranked pass defense. They don't like to run the ball (last in the SEC in rush attempts/game), which is fine because South Carolina is good at stopping the run. The Razorbacks have won 6 of the last 9 against the Gamecocks.
Razorbacks Offense: 487.4 yards/game (9th), 7.3 yards/play (5th), & 39.2|PERCENT| 3rd Down (64th)

7:00 PM ET FSN: #8 Oklahoma 7-1 (-3) @ Texas A&M 5-3 - The Sooners go on the road this weekend against an Aggies team with a new starting QB. Senior Jerrod Johnson was the starting QB for the Aggies up until last week against Texas Tech, when junior Ryan Tannehill threw for 449 yards, 4 TDs, and 1 INT. Johnson had been plagued by turnovers all season long, so the switch to Tannehill isn't all that surprising. This will only be his second starting game, which makes me question the line in this game (OU giving 3). The OU pass defense can get leaky at times, just ask Utah State, Cincinnati, or Missouri, who all passed for over 300 yards against them. Offensively, it's all about the big three (Landry Jones, DeMarco Murray, & Ryan Broyles) for the Sooners. The Aggies run defense has played exceptionally well this season allowing just 94.9 ypg, but I still expect DeMarco Murray to get his. Their pass defense however is simply awful, allowing almost 250 ypg. Sophomore QB Landry Jones should have no trouble passing for at least 300 yards in this game. The Sooners have won 4 of the last 5 in this series in College Station.
Sooners Offense: 474.6 yards/game (14th), 5.5 yards/play (58th), & 45.8|PERCENT| 3rd Down (28th)

8:00 PM ET ABC/ESPN: #15 Arizona 7-1 @ #13 Stanford 7-1 (-9.5) - Coming into this game, you might think that Stanford would have the much better offense, but they don't. They only average 13 more yards per game offensively than the Wildcats do and that's with junior QB Nick Foles missing almost three games (he was knocked out early in the Washington State game). Foles however is back for this game and he brings with him his #1 ranked completion percentage (75.3|PERCENT|). This Stanford pass defense gave up 390 yards to USC, which will happen, but to allow 298 to Washington State is unacceptable. On the flip-side, Andrew Luck is having a Heisman trophy worthy season. He's 10th in QB passer rating (162.53) and very capable of making plays with his legs (43.1 ypg rushing). The Arizona pass defense has allowed almost the exact same number of yards per game passing that Stanford has, but looking at their game log, they've only had one game (Oregon State) where they were exposed. Sophomore RB Stepfan Taylor who averages 91.0 ypg should find it extremely tough to run against this Arizona defense. They've allowed only 4 rushing TDs this season and are top ten in both yards/game and yards/carry allowed. The Cardinal have won 5 of the last 7 in this series.
