Sorry about the break, and just after picking up the pace with a big night. I'm working hard at meeting a book deadline (check out the blog at Baseball Prospectus), and haven't had the time for handicapping. It's bad to just guess if you can't put in the time, so I shut it down for a week.
There are 14 games tonight. Ten of them have a posted total of eight or lower. I know it's the Year of the Pitcher, but that seems silly. Then again, I have just one totals play...
Washington +305, .5 units. On general principle.
Seatlle +140, two units. I wanna be down with the King. Hernandez had this matchup, against the Yankees at the Stadium, a couple months ago and shut them down.
Baltimore +181, one unit. Two of my favorite trends, Orioles up and Rangers down, colliding at a great price.
Milwaukee -143, 1.5 units. Line seems light for the pitching matchup, probably because of the Padres' strong performance in Chicago. Wade LeBlanc hasn't been very effective on the road.
San Francisco/St. Louis over 8 (+100), two units. I think it's a bad line, with a good Giants offense facing a poor pitcher, and the Cards' RHBs facing Bumgarner.
