With each passing day, this is going to a get a little bit harder. More teams are going to shift into a mode where the result of that night's game isn't terribly meaningful to them, and once that happens, you have to simply take entire sections of the board down. You won't be picking from 15, but from 12 or nine or even five.
I suppose this happens just in time for college football. (Don't give me ideas.)
Maybe. Maybe this is a game can be beat.
Detroit, +176, one unit. Even down a third of their starting lineup, yeah. This is all about jumping on Max Scherzer.
Cincinnati/Milwaukee over 8.5 (-125), one unit. I normally wouldn't take an over with the Brewers facing a righty. However, Arroyo hasn't pitched well (as at least one commenter pointed out on another night) and neither team has a particularly good bullpen aside from the closer spot.
Chicago (AL) -122, two units. John Danks, and if you didn't see this one coming...
San Francisco -128, two units. The Giants have been, arguably, the best team in baseball since they traded away Bengie Molina. I'm riding them until someone gives me a better idea.
Los Angeles (AL) -132, one unit. There's a huge gap between Dan Haren's stat line and Dan Haren. Exploit it.
