Brady Quinn is impressing in Cleveland. I steadfastly maintain that Derek Anderson is a better QB than Brady Quinn, who I doubt will ever post a season like Anderson's 3,786 yards, 29 TDs, and 7.2 YPA in 2007. But the Browns seem to like Quinn, who is emerging as the favorite to take over the starting role. From the reports I've read, I'd put Quinn as a 70/30 favorite to start on opening day.
Terrell Owens has a sprained toe. There has been no word yet on the severity of the injury, and I suspect it is minor. But toe injuries can linger, and remember - Owens is 35, so nagging injuries would not be a shock, even for a physical specimen like him. I'd put his chances at staying healthy and posting a 1,000 yard, 8-10 TD season at around 60|PERCENT|.
Dallas Clark sits out practice again. Today was the second straight day that Clark missed practice. Unfortunately, we don't know why, either - but therein lies the concern. He's probably okay, but the Colts are notoriously tight-lipped about injuries, so keep an eye on this. If I were drafting tonight, I'd have to knock him down a small notch (and keep him there until he returned to practice or I got some clarity on this situation). If that sounds like an over-reaction, remember - the Colts downplayed Manning's preseason injury last season and he struggled out of the gate.
Vince Young is not necessarily second-string. Today the Titans announced that Patrick Ramsey is still in the running to be the Titans backup QB. At this point, Young is closer to being cut than he is to being fantasy relevant.
Ramses Barden is making noise in Giants camp. With Plaxico Burress out of the picture, somebody is going to emerge as a receiving option in New York. Barden may be low on your list of names (if you've even heard of him), but his size makes him worth a flier, particularly in TD-only leagues. Apparently, he has impressed the Giants brass in camp.
