Good column by ESPN's Gene Wojciechowski detailing the process by which the names of those who tested positive for steroids could be released and the issues at stake.
The takeaway? That a federal appeals court might compel baseball to release the rest of the names (other than ARod and Sammy Sosa), but right now that looks doubtful. And for good reason as the Fourth Amendment's privacy protections trump our interest in knowing who the cheaters were.
Still, as Wojciechowski suggests, the MLBPA is damaging the interests of most of its members and the game itself by protecting the 102 cheaters. If the court doesn't release the names, they're likely to trickle out slowly, keeping the story in the news for a long time, and even clean players under justifiable suspicion.
