- Le'Veon Bell had his suspension reduced from four to three games. This should bump him up from his current ADP of 15.6 and will make his owners very happy. Keep in mind though that most leagues run their regular season for 13 weeks and missing three games is pretty significant. His owners should feel good if they come out of Week 3 with a 2-1 or 3-0 record and being 1-2 isn't the end of the world with Bell set to return Week 4 against Kansas City.
- Tom Obarski, the pride of Concordia University is set to take Josh Brown's place kicking for the Giants while Brown is suspended for Week 1. Brown was suspended for a domestic violence incident with his ex-wife in 2015. While the charge ended up getting dropped, Brown's ex-wife told the Daily News he had been violent with her over 20 times. So if you smoke weed (legal in many places the NFL plays in) while playing in the NFL you get a four-game suspension but if you beat on women you get one game. Alrighty then. Also, if you only drafted one kicker and it was Brown, hope your league runs waivers before Week 1.
- While he didn't receive any carries in Thursday's preseason game James White caught two passes out of the backfield for 17 yards. The glaring absence of Dion Lewis suggests that White could be in line to open the season as New England's change-of-pace/third down back. He caught 40 passes for 410 yards last season scoring four times and would be a sneaky play in PPR/DFS formats if he has that role while Lewis is out. Lewis still has no timetable to return to the field and if he gets placed on the PUP list to start the season he would miss the first four games.
- White's teammate, Chris Hogan, caught four passes (five targets) for 53 yards in New England's preseason game Thursday. Hogan showed flashes of fantasy relevance last season in Buffalo and could push for the No.2 wide receiver role over Danny Amendola. Hogan has more size than Amendola and less of an injury history making him an interesting late-round flyer.
- Russell Wilson was sacked four times in Thursday night's preseason game and the first string offense has yet to score a point through two games. The offensive line has looked shaky so far this preseason although not too much should be read into this yet. Christine Michael continued to build some steam heading into the season with 11 touches for 64 yards. It appears Michael will have a role in the Seattle offense to start the season even if Thomas Rawls and C.J. Prosise are 100 percent healthy. Rawls is expected to get some carries in the fourth preseason game but the emergence of Michael will put a small hit on his value.
- Matt Jones left Friday night's game with what appeared to be a left shoulder injury. He's slated to have an x-ray and his status should be updated this weekend. If the injury is anything significant causing Jones to miss time look for the injury to benefit Keith Marshall the most. Chris Thompson is technically second on the depth chart but his role is mainly being a pass-catching back who probably wouldn't do well running the ball in between the tackles.
