NHL Saturday Night -- 101 Reasons to Laugh. Or Cry.

- ?Mike Richards. The only NHLER to start the season in a beer league. You've come a long way, baby.
- Anyone know how big a rock it takes to hide a six-foot-four, 220-pound netminder? Steve Mason needs one. Fast.
- Are the Sharks a better team because of Joel Ward and Paul Martin? Think about it. The answer seems clear to me.
- I wish Canadian sports stations carried more Dallas Stars' regular-season games. You Texans are spoiled watching Jamie Benn every other night. Wow.
- No white cane for Henrik Lundqvist (thank goodness). Heavy, HEAVY advantage Rangers, regardless of those defensive shortcomings.
- I had lunch with my buddy Chris on Thursday and said I had a "feeling" about San Jose. He did, too, but we both chalked it up to gas and moved on. Maybe this IS their year.
- Phil Kessel is flat-out electric when he decides to actually play. Too bad he couldn't spark some of his teammates.
- Devin Dubnyk is mad and rightfully so. His post-game rant at the refs for the so-called kick into the net is a load of hooey. He's peeved at this teammates and this was the only way he could express it. Let's go, Wild -- Double-D is playing GREAT hockey. You're wasting it.
- Back to Richards. That 5-on-3 PK early in the game was a difference maker, mostly because of him. Come mid-week, think back to this question -- did that Richards' led PK cement the win Saturday? Was it the turning point for theses series? Has Richards completely eradicated his demons?
