$10 Single Entry tournament for Happy Hour? Yes, please!
I was fortunate enough to get a lineup in for the Wednesday Happy Hour contest on FanDuel. Unfortunately, my irrational desire to spend every dollar possible of the salary cap led me to use Serge Ibaka over Thaddeus Young as my second power forward. The difference in payout was probably $75-100.
A costly lesson, nonetheless.
A very similar, if not identical, Happy Hour special popped up Friday afternoon.
Here's my attempt to pull in the $500 first-place payout:
PG - Russell Westbrook ($11,700) -- Apparently, Jorge Calderon is an awful defensive player. This brings me joy, as he sandbagged my lineup in my 2015-16 season debut. Plus, no KD for the Thunder puts even more of the scoring load on Westbrook.

PG - Damian Lillard ($9,000) -- Getting Lillard to have a crack at the 209.5 over/under in the Clippers-Blazers matchup was easier than figuring out a way to have Steph Curry alongside of Westbrook.
SG - Alec Burks ($5,400) -- The Mavs guards are old, and getting older.
SG - Eric Gordon ($6,200) -- A forced add with the move from Mike Conley (against Houston) to Lillard as my second point guard. Eric Bledsoe initially had this spot.
SF - Jeff Green ($4,300) -- Green's minutes are way up over the past three games (33.0 mpg), and the production has followed: 18.3 ppg, 4.7 rpg, 2.0 apg, 1.3 spg. Here's to hoping that the increased production continues.
SF - Gordon Hayward ($6,500) -- An optimizer special. Not thrilled with it, but it's the way the position came together with my other pieces.
PF - JaMychal Green ($3,700) -- Zach Randolph is a game-time decision, even if he plays, Green may be able to return enough value to justify this extremely low.
PF - Thaddeus Young ($6,300) -- The goal here is to take advantage of a weak Boston front court. Sadly, I missed out on his outburst Wednesday night.
C - Al Jefferson ($6,900) -- By all accounts, Jefferson will be very chalky Friday night, but worth it to get the extra money freed up for Lillard.
