2025 Fantasy Outlook
Wilson is 30 years old and has all of 120 plate appearances at the big league level at this stage of his career. The former Clemon Tiger never made it out of Triple-A with Milwaukee and signed as a minor league free agent with Philadelphia prior to the 2023 season where he has found a home. He had a 30-30 season for the Iron Pigs that season earning himself a 40-man spot. Wilson was less productive in returning to Triple-A this past season, but was an effective when given the chance to help the Phillies in 2024. Wilson was versatile playing six different spots on the field but will only qualify in the outfield on draft day. The most intriguing thing about Wilson are the names on his Similar Batters list on BaseballSavant because Wilson's batted ball profile is similar to the likes of Anthony Santander, Marcell Ozuna, Brent Rooker, and Michael Toglia. We might be more interested if Wilson were with another club and had a real chance to show whether he can be a late bloomer, but for now, he is bench depth for the Phillies and deeper mono league or draft and hold speculation selections. 2024 Fantasy Outlook
Wilson made his big-league debut at age-28 last August, and he made the most of a pair of brief opportunities. In a tiny sample of eight games, he slashed .313/.500/.500 with a homer and three steals. He even earned a spot on the Phillies' Wild Card roster, though he didn't get into a game and was dropped for future rounds. Wilson's 31 homers and 32 steals for Triple-A Lehigh Valley last season suggest he's the type of player who could provide more fantasy value than expected if given an extended run, though he'll likely enter 2024 as an underdog for even a spot on the end of the bench. There's usually a reason why a player fails to debut before their late twenties, and in Wilson's case, that reason seems to be an elevated strikeout rate. His 27.5% mark at the Triple-A level over the last two campaigns is poor in its own right but gets worse when you factor in his age. Wilson may get found out if he's pressed into regular duty, but his speed could help out in deeper leagues if he earns a run of starts.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Chance to make playoff roster?
Wilson could make Philadelphia's roster for the NL Wild Card Series and could start in left field against left-handed pitchers, reports Matt Gelb of The Athletic.
ANALYSIS
The 29-year-old spent most of September at Triple-A Lehigh Valley with the roster situation of Rodolfo Castro essentially costing the club a roster spot, but Wilson was called up Saturday and now appears poised to make the initial playoff roster. The lefty-hitting Brandon Marsh has a .673 OPS against LHP this season while Jake Cave has a .633 OPS for the season and Cristian Pache has a .382 OPS in September, leaving the Phillies searching for options in left field down the stretch. Wilson isn't guaranteed to make the playoff roster given he has just 20 plate appearances in the big leagues, but even if excluded he's expected to stay with the team during October.
