2019 Fantasy Outlook
Stokes' .233 batting average for Double-A Biloxi appears unimpressive, but his overall .233/.343/.430 line was good for a 121 wRC+ and earned him a spot on the Brewers' 40-man roster in the offseason. Stokes has never had too much hype as a prospect. He was drafted in the fourth round back in 2014 and projects as a bench outfielder according to most reports. While he runs fairly well and has decent range, Stokes is limited to left field due to very poor arm strength. Stokes has decent pop but doesn't make a ton of contact, though he's shown a discerning eye thus far in his career, walking 11.8% of the time as a professional. The skill set likely adds up to a capable backup or platoon player, and while the Brewers are loaded in the outfield, Stokes' inclusion on the 40-man means he could be called upon in that role should injuries strike the major-league roster.
