Receives summer camp invitation
Estevez was added to the Dodgers' 60-man player pool Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Estevez had been tabbed to open the campaign at Triple-A before play was suspended in March, but the modified roster rules for the 2020 campaign will allow the infielder to be part of the Dodgers' expanded roster instead. Although Estevez impressed at the Double-A level last season, the Dodgers have so much depth that it is unlikely he gets much, if any, MLB playing time this season.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2017
2016
Signed as a 17-year-old out of Cuba, Estevez held his own in an assignment to Low-A Great Lakes in 2016. Despite his rather small stature at 5-foot-10, 170 pounds, Estevez did have nine home runs and 61 RBI in 122 games at that level. Plate discipline remains a concern, though. Estevez fanned 121 times over that span, while drawing just 26 walks. Still, Estevez finished the year with a .255 average, which is not bad considering he is an 18-year-old getting his first taste of baseball in the United States. Estevez does not possess much speed, and as such his upside might be limited. Still, he has room to grow and the Dodgers can afford to be patient with him. Estevez will likely return to Low-A to begin the 2017 season, with the chance to advance to High-A if he starts the year quickly.
