Latest Fantasy Rumors
Chance to rejoin big club?
Ozzie Albies is headed to the injured list due to a wrist injury, per David O'Brien of The Athletic, and Williams should be in the mix to fill Atlanta's open roster spot.
ANALYSIS
Williams was optioned to Triple-A Gwinnett in early July but remains on the 40-man roster, so he's a logical candidate to be called up. The 27-year-old has been up in the majors for a couple stretches this season but received just 12 plate appearances. Even if he ends up seeing a good chunk of playing time at second base while Albies is out, Williams' career OPS of .567 in the majors shouldn't move the needle for fantasy managers.
