Lolo Sanchez

The recipient of a six-figure bonus during the 2015 July 2 international signing period, Sanchez (formerly known as Kevin Sanchez), has yet to play in a full-season league, but has already established himself as one of the few toolsy up-the-middle prospects in a somewhat boring Pirates farm system. He walked more than he struck out as a 17-year-old in the Dominican Summer League in 2016, but did little else to draw attention. However, in his stateside debut he was 23 percent better than league average (123 wRC+) while showing modest pop and plus-plus speed in the Gulf Coast League. He maintained an elite approach, finishing sixth in the GCL with a 1.11 BB/K, and looks ready for an assignment to Low-A. Sanchez needs to add strength to his wiry 6-foot, 150-pound frame, and he could stand to utilize a more balanced approach -- 57.5 percent of his hits went to the pull side. For owners looking to roster the next Leody Taveras or Cristian Pache in dynasty leagues, this is the offseason to snatch up Sanchez.
