Joey Krehbiel

Krehbiel was effective in a mid-leverage role for much of his rookie season. The right-hander made 56 appearances (12 multi-inning stints) for the Orioles, racking up 57.2 innings, five wins and 10 holds while carrying a sub-3.00 ERA through late August. Things unraveled in mid-September, though, and he was demoted after a string of rough outings. He also missed a few weeks in June due to a shoulder injury. Ultimately, there's nothing too exciting in Krehbiel's profile other than an above-average changeup that he throws 33% of the time. His 18.4% strikeout rate was one of the lowest among qualified relievers. Unless he significantly improves his fastball or cutter, don't expect Krehbiel to emerge as a high-leverage relief option for Baltimore.
