Colina (elbow) has struck out four over four scoreless innings in three rehab appearances since being reinstated from Triple-A Round Rock's 7-day injured list June 3. He scattered three hits and two walks.
ANALYSIS
Colina's trio of appearances are his first in affiliated ball since the 2020 season, when he received his first taste of the majors as a member of the Twins organization. He missed the 2021 and 2022 seasons and the first two months of the 2023 campaign while recovering from a debridement procedure of his right elbow, but he's been effective in his initial outings with Round Rock.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2021
2020
Colina could be an impact setup man for the Twins as soon as this season. He features a fastball that can reach nearly 100 mph and showed promise in 2019 with a 2.96 ERA and 9.5 K/9 across three levels. He was called up to the Twins late in the season, but his debut could hardly have gone worse. He allowed three runs on four hits while walking two and recording just a single out, although he at least averaged 97.3 mph on his fastball. It was his only appearance, so it can be written off as a case of nerves. Colina needs to improve his control (4.4 BB/9 at Double-A in 2019) to thrive in the majors. He'll contend for a bullpen role this spring, but likely begins the season at Triple-A.
Colina moved from High-A to Triple-A last season fueled by high strikeout rates (8.9 K/9 at High-A and 10.7 K/9 at Double-A) thanks to a fastball that can reach nearly 100 mph. He needs to improve his control (4.4 BB/9 at Double-A) to thrive in the majors. He's a long shot to make the bullpen this spring, but could be a factor in the majors later this season.
