2023 Fantasy Outlook
Wallace, a third baseman from Arkansas with a monster arm, was selected by the Royals in the second round and given an over-slot $1.7 million bonus. As an amateur hitter, Wallace was seen as an above-average power threat with a questionable hit tool, but in his brief debut, the right-handed hitter demonstrated excellent zone-contact ability and plus raw power in the lower levels. He should spend the year at High-A and Double-A, where he will look to pick up where he left off offensively. As things stand, Wallace comfortably projects as Kansas City's third baseman of the future.
