Carlos Tocci

Tocci hit .242/.297/.324 with two home runs and 10 stolen bases in 487 at-bats for Low-A Lakewood last year. The numbers were an improvement on his 2013 totals at the same level, but are still subpar. His prospect status is based on his tools and potential rather than the results at this stage of his career. The Phillies' primary focus for Tocci the past few years has been to get more weight and muscle on his 6-foot-2 frame. The 19-year-old Tocci weighs just 160 and struggles to drive the ball with authority. That should improve as he matures. He also has the potential to develop into a plus defender in center. The team may send him back to Low-A for a third straight year as they wait for the bat to start to catch up to the defensive skill set.
