Susac showed promise at the plate by posting a .792 OPS over 35 games when he reached the majors for the first time in 2014, but things have gone downhill for him since. The Brewers thought enough of Susac to acquire him in a mid-summer trade in 2016, but he has been unable to secure any sort of big-league role with the club, thanks to his struggles to make contact in the hitter-friendly environment at Triple-A Colorado Springs. As such, Susac has appeared in just 17 games at the top level over a season-and-a-half with Milwaukee. He will have an opportunity to compete for a roster spot during spring training, but he is a long shot to break camp with the big club, as he will begin 2018 fourth in the pecking order behind the plate for the Brewers.
