Rest-of-Season Projections
Meyers (shoulder), a Rule 5 selection, was sent back to the Nationals on Thursday, CBS Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
A strained labrum sustained in April prevented Meyers from seeing time with the Yankees this season, necessitating his return to the Nationals. He will be assigned to Triple-A Syracuse in Washington's organization, where he threw 95.2 innings in 2011.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2012
2010
Meyers spent most of 2011 with Syracuse, but he did make six starts in Double-A and two starts in the New York-Penn League. He possesses fantastic command (0.97 BB/9IP in 2011) and has a 7.50 K/9IP for his career. His fastball usually averages about 91 mph, and he features that with a slider, change-up and new added cutter. His BABIP over .343 in Triple-A did not affect his overall ERA because of his ability to limit home runs with only 26 allowed in his professional career. The Nationals left him unprotected in the Rule 5 draft, so Meyers' first taste of the big leagues could come out of the Yankees bullpen if he impresses during spring training.
