Capuano managed just 16 appearances and 24 innings in 2016 before his season was finally ended by an elbow injury in August. When he did manage to take the mound, he was uncharacteristically wild, as he walked 5.6 batters per nine innings en route to a 4.13 ERA and a brutal 6.69 FIP. Considering all the wear and tear on Capuano's arm -- 1429.2 career innings and two Tommy John surgeries dating back to 2003 -- nobody could blame Capuano for hanging up the cleats after having his season ended by yet another injury. Whether he comes back or not, he's one of the most resilient to ever take the mound.
