After missing the entire 2015 season following Tommy John surgery, Burnett attempted a comeback that saw him initially sign a minor league deal with the Nationals, then bounce through the Dodgers, Braves and Twins organizations before finally winding up back in Washington and seeing some September work in the majors in a situational role. The veteran lefty proved he could still get same-side hitters out, at least, but given his age and lack of a recent resume, he'll likely struggle to land a major league contract once again this offfseason.
