Rest-of-Season Projections
Yankees GM Brian Cashman declined to comment on the team's possible interest in bringing Wells into the mix for their rotation, NY Newsday reports.
ANALYSIS
"You always turn to an internal candidate first before you turn outside the organization," Cashman said. "That's what I've learned." We're not sure how a 44-year-old Wells is actually a solution for the Yanks at this stage of his career, but it seems that Hank Steinbrenner is more interested in bringing him back than Cashman is. This idea could get some legs if Kei Igawa's struggles continue or if Darrell Rasner regresses.
