Rest-of-Season Projections
Parker signed a minor league deal with the Reds on Tuesday, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.
ANALYSIS
A former first-round pick, Parker was released by the Rockies earlier in the month after a poor spring showing followed a disappointing 2015 campaign. He'll likely report to the Triple-A level and will serve as outfield depth within the Cincinnati organization.

Formerly a top prospect, Parker had some trouble in 2015. In 112 plate appearances, he hit three homers and drove in 11 runs, but he struck out a whopping 37 times to go with only six walks. This produced a putrid .179/.223/.311 slash line, which has lowered his stock in the Rockies' organization when paired with his brief-yet-poor cameo with the big club in 2014. The 26-year-old still has some time to become a nice right-handed power bat for the Rockies, but he'll have to cut down on the strikeouts if he wants to see any significant playing time.
