Rest-of-Season Projections
Jackson was recalled from Triple-A Reno on Friday.
ANALYSIS
Jackson will give the team another option in the outfield with David Peralta dealing with an injury. He likely won't see much playing time, but could serve as a pinch hitter off the bench and a spot starter in the outfield.

Once upon a time, Jackson was a good prospect, but now he's going backwards. When he finally got the shot at the majors he deserved in late 2012, the result was a disastrous stint in which he hit .175 in 120 at-bats. Last year he was so bad for Triple-A Iowa that he had to be demoted to Double-A to regain his confidence. Based on his performance with Iowa, his confidence isn't back yet. While his performance could be partially attributable to a calf injury, he's always been a human air conditioner. Let someone else roll the dice.

When you’re not playing well, the game’s not fun. I wasn’t having fun last year — I was hurt and struggling."
