Falkenborg made only five appearances with the Cardinals in 2006 and otherwise continued haunting the minors as he has for nearly a decade. Now 29, it looks like he's never going to be more than a journeyman pitcher. He has good control -- in 58 innings between Memphis and St. Louis he struck out 58 and walked only 15 -- but the Cardinals have enough right-handed relievers that it's unlikely they will call on him much in 2007.
