Recommended Pickup
Wade LeBlanc, P, MIA: With Carlos Zambrano being demoted to a bullpen role by the Marlins, Wade LeBlanc will step into a rotation role for Miami for the first time this season. Since being called up at the beginning of July, LeBlanc has thrown 15.2 innings of relief and has just a 1.15 ERA over that span. LeBlanc began the season in Triple-A and made 16 starts for the New Orleans Zephyrs. In just under 100 innings, he had a 3.74 ERA and 1.125 WHIP. Though he had almost a strikeout per inning in Triple-A, he held just a 5.76 K/9 in his short time in the majors so far and has not proven to be an effective strikeout pitcher in the majors. However, he has had some success starting in the majors in the past. He won't be someone who will net you the big strikeout numbers, but a starter who could give you a 3.50-4.00 ERA is something that can be very valuable. LeBlanc is worth a try if you need pitching help.
