De Tomas is facing sanctions stemming from a violating of the USADA anti-doping policy, Marc Raimondi of MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
De Tomas failed an in-competition test after weighing-in for his previous bout against Alex Perez at UFC Fight Night 123 on Dec. 9 in Fresno. The "Golden Boy" didn't even make weight for that fight, and was bested via submission in the second round. He currently is not under contract by the UFC, and will receive a suspension pending an adjudication process.

De Tomas struggled to make weight for this fight and dropped his second fight in the UFC. His job could be in jeopardy following this loss.

Fight changed to bantamweight after weight cut concerns
De Tomas's fight with Alex Perez has been changed from a flyweight to a bantamweight bout after California State Athletic Commission doctors had concerns about his weight cut, Marc Raimondi of MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
De Tomas was found to be "significantly over" the 125-pound limit for flyweight. The CSAC has been making strides toward eliminating unhealthy weight cutting and this is one instance where they decided a change was necessary. While de Tomas was the only person actually flagged, there were other fighters that were noted by the commission. However, doctors were satisfied at this point that they would make healthy cuts.

Set to fight Alex Perez at UFC Fresno
De Tomas will face Alex Perez in a flyweight contest at UFC Fight Night 123 on December 9 in Fresno, Damon Martin of MMAWeekly.com reports.
ANALYSIS
De Tomas was lackluster in his UFC debut. The youngster wasn't able to pull out anything impressive during the fight, but did make the distance against Naoki Inoue only to lose a unanimous decision. This time around, he'll be facing a newcomer in Perez. "Golden Boy" is 6-1 since going professional in 2012.

No-shows UFC debut Saturday
De Tomas lost to Naoki Inoue via unanimous decision (26-30, 26-30, 26-30) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Kallang, Singapore.
ANALYSIS
De Tomas should consider himself fortunate the scorecards were so "close". Simply put, he no-showed his UFC debut. Outside of a pair of takedowns with which he did nothing, de Tomas was dominated in every single aspect of the fight. He is going to lose his job if he doesn't show significant improvement in his next fight.
