ANALYSIS
The 30-year-old Knighton entered the league in 2009 as a third-round pick of the Jaguars, but it wasn't until he signed with the Broncos in 2013 when his career arguably came to its peak. That season, Knighton accrued 31 tackles, three sacks, a fumble recovery and an interception, not to mention a sack of Patriots QB Tom Brady on a crucial fourth down during the AFC championship game that helped propel the Broncos to the Super Bowl. In total, "Pot Roast" will ultimately end his career with 230 tackles, 14 sacks, three forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and two interceptions across 108 regular season games. He's now expected to take up a career in coaching.

At 6-foot-3, 355 pounds, Knighton excels at clogging running lanes. The 30-year-old finished the 2015 season with 29 tackles and 1.5 sacks in 15 games for Washington. He'll provide the Patriots' interior defensive line with valuable size and experience, though as a fantasy IDP, Knighton remains a marginal option.
Starting nose tackle. He averages 30 tackles and a couple of sacks each year.
"Pot roast" will once again be the biggest body in the middle of the Broncos' defensive line. His main job is to take up space, which isn't a big fantasy stat in most leagues. Knighton has five sacks over the last two seasons, averaging 31.5 tackles in that span, and there isn't likely to be a huge increase in 2014.
Will start at nose tackle for the Broncos in 2013. He's a huge lineman who eats up plenty of space, although he isn't expected to gobble up too many tackles to make his IDP value very high.
Big things were expected from Knighton as he headed into his fourth season, coming off a strong third year before a bar fight led to a severe eye injury. All reports indicate Knighton's experienced a somewhat miraculous recovery and he should be ready for training camp. Pot Roast won't post gaudy statistics as he's more of a space eater in the middle, but a fully healthy Tyson Alualu and the addition of rookie Andre Branch could provide a bit of a boost for the big man.
Knighton will start at defensive tackle.
