You can file his 2008 campaign away as a disappointment, while Jackson will now get the opportunity to ply his trade elsewhere, although he may have to compete for a starting gig during training camp.

After grabbing 13 interceptions from 2001-03, the former Super Bowl MVP has nabbed just four since. He'll be pushed for his starting role and has very limited fantasy value at this point in his career.

Jackson will begin the year as the starting strong safety, but the Bengals will have more strength in numbers this year after drafting two safeties on the second day of the draft.

Starting safety. The hard-hitting Jackson was brought in to help solidify the Bengals secondary against the run and discourage passes thrown across the middle.

The prodigal son returneth: Jackson, MVP of the Bucs' Super Bowl win in January 2003, comes back to Tampa Bay and should nail down a starting job at safety.

Jackson did something quite interesting in his first year in the desert after moving over from Tampa Bay. As a free safety, he set career highs in solo tackles (74), interceptions (six) and passes defended (14). He's not much for sacks or fumble stats, but the high level of production elsewhere in year one with a new team has us taking an interest in year two.
