Rinehart has been placed on injured reserve after suffering an ankle injury during the Week 7 loss to the Titans, according to the Bills' official Twitter feed.

He's not a starter, but Rinehart is an important backup who was pressed into starter's duty when a few of the regulars went down to injury. Fortunately for the Bills, those regulars - Cordy Glenn and Kraig Urbik - are ready to resume playing, but the loss of Rinehart does hurt the team's O-line depth.

Rinehart currently holds down the starting right guard slot on the offensive line.

After signing as a free agent, Rinehart is expected to start at left guard for a San Diego offensive line that was in desperate need of an overhaul after the 2012 season.

Rinehart did a good job filling in as a starter when injuries hit the offensive line in 2011. With Andy Levitre (who was moved around a lot last season) locked in as the starting left guard, Rinehart's best bet to make the starting five this season is probably at right guard. To do that he'd probably have to beat out Kraig Urbik, and while Rinehart might get a shot to do that, Urbik is probably the current favorite.
