Brian Robiskie

Robiskie, who was claimed off waivers from the Browns in late 2011, will compete for a roster spot during training camp, but the logjam at the position could have him facing an uphill battle with Justin Blackmon and Laurent Robinson considered roster locks and Cecil Shorts, Lee Evans, Chastin West and Taylor Price (among others) all competing for a remaining three or four spots. A former early-round pick, Robiskie's on his way to securing a largely forgettable NFL career unless he's able to make something work in the next few months.

When Robiskie entered the league in 2009, he was widely considered to the the most pro-ready receiver in that year's Draft. He has yet to establish a firm role with the team, but played better down the stretch in 2010. It appears as though he is building a nice rapport with Colt McCoy so it wouldn't be surprising if Robiskie was one of his favorite targets this fall in Cleveland.

Robiskie had a tough rookie campaign in 2009 (seven receptions, 106 yards) in which he did not see much playing time after being regarded by many as the most 'NFL-ready' receiver in the 2009 draft. He has had an excellent offseason thus far and many are expecting big things out of him in 2010. He is the favorite to win the No. 2 receiver spot this year, but will compete with Chansi Stuckey for that spot. Keep him in your sights, but it is going to be tough to justify drafting him after a terribly unproductive 2009.

Sleeper alert. The Browns needed to re-stock at receiver, so while Robiskie's not all that toolsy, he has good intangibles and soft hands (unlike Braylon Edwards) and an immediate opportunity to contribute in a Cleveland passing offense that has a chance to turn things around in 2009.
