Xavier Omon

Omon will battle to be the team's No. 3 or No. 4 running back.

Omon looked great in the preseason in 2008, but then didn't do much with limited looks in the regular season. The signing of Dominic Rhodes pushes him down to No. 4 on the depth chart. The team will likely have to keep four running backs because of Marshawn Lynch's three-game suspension, so Omon will have a limited window to open some eyeballs and stick with the team. Signed a contract with the Seahawks in January 2010.

Omon dominated Division II last season, using his strong build and toughness to amass nearly 2,337 yards rushing and 37 rushing touchdowns for tiny Northwest Missouri State. He will threaten Dwayne Wright’s hold on the No. 3 running back spot, but his upside (at least for 2008) is probably limited to a carry here or there as Buffalo’s third back. If he doesn’t crack the final roster, the Bills will likely try to sneak him onto the practice squad.
