Big second half not enough
Dennis racked up 27 points (9-21 FG, 2-10 3Pt, 7-8 FT), six rebounds, two assists and three steals over 39 minutes during Sunday's 72-64 loss to Clemson.
ANALYSIS
Dennis scored 21 of his season-high 27 in the second half, but Baylor's comeback effort came up short as their season and Dennis' career came to an abrupt end. Dennis had accumulated 20 assists over his past two games and no less than five in the previous 13 but with the Bears struggling, Dennis took on the bulk of the scoring responsibility and nearly led the Bears all the way back after being down by as many as 15 with less than seven minutes remaining. The senior guard ended his final collegiate season averaging 34.1 minutes, 13.6 points, 3.9 rebounds, 1.4 streals and a Big 12-leading 6.8 assists in 35 games.
