Past Fantasy Outlooks
2004
2003
Sprewell will play alongside the best player in the NBA once again and should have another good season with the Timberwolves. Sprewell has great foot speed for a small forward and should have success driving past his opponents to the basket. Sprewell’s stats shouldn’t change too much, though his point output might increase if Sam Cassell doesn’t fully recover from his leg injury. Because of his limited upside and his age, Sprewell shouldn’t be taken early in your draft. However, Sprewell will be a good source of points, steals and some threes and will be good enough to warrant an eighth or ninth round selection.
Sprewell will move to shooting guard with the T-Wolves but could play some small foward as well. He may thrive out of New York as Sam Cassell promises to give him the ball on offense. However, Sprewell will likely be valued more for his defense and may see his shots decrease on an offense with more options.
