Parker's rehab from his second Tommy John surgery hit a wall in May when he fractured a bone in his right elbow during a start in Triple-A. The path back was already tough for Parker with multiple Tommy Johns and now he faces a tougher climb back from the mounting injuries. After back-to-back seasons of nearly 200 innings in 2012 and 2013, including a combined ERA of 3.73 at ages 23 and 24, it appeared Parker was going to be a front-half of the rotation mainstay for the A's. The A's will likely treat Parker as a starter if he is recovered by the spring, but one has to wonder if maybe Parker would be better served pitching in short stints out of the bullpen. Parker has been solid when he is able to take the mound and could provide some solid fantasy value, but it is hard to predict a significant number of innings pitched in 2016.
