Past Fantasy Outlooks
2007
2006
Cox was the closer for the 2005 NCAA Champion Texas Longhorns, enabling him to begin his professional career at Double-A Trenton last season. Opposing hitters have struggled to generate power against him thus far, as he gave up just two homers in 77 innings of work in 2006. With a fastball that tops out in the low '90s, Cox isn't really suited to become a major-league closer, but he does have the command and composure necessary to be successful at the next level. A set-up role in New York isn't out of the question with a good spring performance.
